How NFL FLAG Is Different
No Tackles, Just Flags
Pull the ball carrier's flag to end the play. Your hands are your best defense.
Don't Block
No pads and no blocking. Players get open with speed and smart routes.
Smaller Teams
Five to seven players per side, so every kid stays in the action.
Smaller Fields
Fields are typically 60–80 yards — less space, more action.
Two Halves
Games pack all the action into two 20-minute halves.
Everyone's Eligible
Every player is a potential receiver. Who's getting open for the big catch?
Rushers Start Back
Blitzers line up 7 yards off the ball. Ready, set, sprint!
No-Run Zones
Close to the end zone and midfield, the offense has to pass. Time to perfect that throw!
Exact rules (team size, field size, game length) vary by age group. Coaches will review CCYFL rules with families at the start of the season.
